Lake Huron Water Intake & Pipelines

Major open water construction of a new 78" diameter raw water intake pipe line into Lake Huron (MI). Work included the recovery of 70 Ton tunnel boring machine, cut and cover installation of over 5000 LF of 78" concrete water pipe using Hydro-pull, Heave timer construction, launch, and placement of two 52' octagonal (140-gross ton) timber intake cribs, and fabrication / installation of HDPE chemical feed system. Pipe construction also included the inline installation of two pre-fabricated steel stop log chambers and two man-way risers.
